E-mail lists

One of the best benefits of this organization is the sharing of knowledge and experience. The easiest way to tap into this resource is to join one or more of the CBI E-mail list. There are four… one for all members, one (FS) for faculty and staff, one for Jobs (CBJob) and one for television (CBI-TV). The FS list is where faculty and staff can talk about issues like tenure, unions and other issues that aren’t necessarily relevant to students. The TV list is intended to offer a gathering place to discuss issues specific to student TV. It is our hope that the CBI-TV members will also subscribe to the CBI list, which is a general student media list.

To join the CBI E-Mail List, send an e-mail to listserv@listserv.syr.edu. In the body of the message, type “Subscribe CBI” (with out the quotes).

To join the CBI-FS E-Mail List, send an e-mail to listserv@listserv.syr.edu. In the body of the message, type “Subscribe CBI-FS” (with out the quotes).

To join the CBI-TV E-Mail List, send an e-mail to listserv@listserv.syr.edu. In the body of the message, type “Subscribe CBI-TV” (with out the quotes).

If you are looking for a position, opportunities will find you! Join the list and employers will send you position announcements. To subscribe to this FREE service, click here. If you don’t want to subscribe, you can review the openings at the archive site here. This is not a discussion list. It is simply a list where position announcements are posted by employers.  In order to minimize spam, only those approved by CBI are allowed to post to this list.

If at any point you opt to change your subscription to a digest (daily compilation of) version, all you need to do is to send one e-mail (this applies to all but the jobs list). Send it to listserv@listserv.syr.edu. In the body of the message write, “set CBI-TV digest.”Need help? Contact CBI!
