A Radio Station Becomes Two: KNDS keeps 96.3 FM, KRFF goes down to 95.9 FM

North Dakota State-run KNDS is the low-power station of 96.3 FM. The radio station shared its frequency with Radio Free Fargo, a community partnership, for 12 years.

WMUA hosts, student staff clash over changes

Longtime radio DJs and students who make up the executive staff of the WMUA 91.1 college radio station at the University of Massachusetts Amherst clashed at the station’s first general body meeting of the school year Monday over schedule and staffing changes.

Cayuga Community College’s radio station to visit White House, will meet VP Joe Biden

Jeff Szczesniak, the award-winning staff adviser to Cayuga Community College’s radio station, is heading to Washington — and he may get to meet President Barack Obama. Five college radio stations, including WDWN, have been invited to the White House on Thursday, Sept. 24, one week before National College Radio Day on Oct. 2.

FCC Denies Applications for Review Related to Sale of College Radio Station KUSF’s License

The FCC released a memorandum and order (PDF) denying the final Applications for Review that were filed in regards to the sale of the KUSF-FM license (the CPRN-owned station is now known as KOSC-FM and airs classical music programming under the brand name KDFC) and the simultaneous Consent Decree against both University of San Francisco and the purchaser, Classical Public Radio Network.
