The FCC has added two items relating to LPFM and FM translator applications to its March Open Meeting on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in Washington, D.C.. You will be able to watch the meeting live.
One article on the topic references a press release saying there could be 10,000 applications for LPFM stations. If your organization is thinking about an LPFM station, this will be an important meeting as it could potentially announce a time line for filing LPFM applications. Those stations with MX’d translator applications have an interest in this meeting as well because the proceeding may wipe out that old application.
