CBI Board Nomination Period Extended

CBI will continue to accept nominations for Vice President, IT Content Director and Student Representative through Saturday, February 6. The terms for VP and IT Content begin December 1, 2021 and last for three years. The single year term for Student Representative begins May 1. You may nominate someone who is interested or self-nominate by sending an email to elections@askcbi.org.

A person may be qualified, in part, if they hold a “faculty, administrative or supervisory position” associated with one of our member organizations. Here are the official lists of duties as presented in our Bylaws:

3.5.2. Duties of the Vice-President.

A. Assumes President’s duties at meetings if President is absent.
B. Works to identify and secure keynote speaker for NSEMC, with board approval, and to oversee logistics of keynote presentation.
C. In the event of a vacancy of the office of the President, serves as interim President until the position is filled.
D. Manages creation and distribution of newsletters, press releases and other marketing initiatives, including sending marketing emails to member and potential member database.
E. Assists Events Director in NSEMC session curation.
F. Mentors Student Representative.
G. On-site duties at NSEMC as assigned.
H. Other duties as assigned by the President.

3.5.7 IT Content Director

A. Maintains CBI website and social media accounts.
B. Develops fresh, relevant content on all CBI websites and social media accounts in conjunction with Student Representative.
C. Creates and maintains NSEMC website.
D. Assists in creation of press releases and other marketing initiatives.
E. Coordinates live tweeting and/or streaming of awards and/or NSEMC keynote speaker.
F. On-site duties at NSEMC as assigned.
G. Other duties as assigned by the President.

3.5.6 Student Representative

A. Works with IT Content Director to develop content for CBI website and other platforms, including, but not limited to, Spotlights, Blog Links, and Question of the Week.
B. Assists Events Director in NSEMC session curation.
C. Leads at least one session and/or roundtable at NSEMC.
D. On-site duties at NSEMC as assigned.
E. Other duties as assigned by the President, Vice President, or IT Content Director.
