Henry Ford Community College to host WHFR Radiothon beginning Sunday

Henry Ford Community College’s student-run radio station WHFR-FM (89.3) will hold Radiothon Week 2014 from Sunday, April 6, to Saturday, April 12, with live concerts and special on-air events scheduled, including the chance to win a weekend lease of a brand new Ford vehicle.

Radio station offers internships: Radio station WVIK, Quad-Cities NPR, is offering two paid internships for Augustana College students this fall.

The Robert and Patricia Hanson Foundation and the CD Wiman Memorial Trust have provided seed money for the positions. Plans are in place to create an endowment to fund the positions in future years.
